Sheikh Bouh Mouhamed Kounta, known as Bouh Khalifa, a member of the Section of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema in the Republic of Senegal, passed away during the night of Saturday, October 3, to Sunday, October 4, 2026.

The deceased was known for his contributions to religious affairs and his commitment to promoting peace and dialogue. He also held several religious responsibilities and worked to strengthen Muslim unity and foster closer ties among the various religious communities in the Republic of Senegal.

On this sorrowful occasion, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema extends its heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to all members of his family, the Foundation’s Section in Senegal, the brotherly Senegalese people, and all Muslims.

May Allah envelop the deceased, Sheikh Bouh Mouhamed Kounta, in His boundless mercy and forgiveness, and admit him to His vast Paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. What excellent companions they are!
