N’Djamena : Official Inauguration of the Mohammed VI Mosque in the Republic of Chad

In implementation of the High Instructions of the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema, in coordination with the competent Chadian authorities and the Foundation’s local section in the Republic of Chad, will oversee the official inauguration of the Mohammed VI Mosque in N’Djamena, the capital of the Republic of Chad.
The inauguration will take place during the Friday Prayer on the 17th of Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 6, 2026.
The ceremony will be attended by official, religious and academic figures from the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Chad. On this occasion, the first Friday sermon will be delivered by the official representative of the Supreme Council of Ulema of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The inauguration of this major religious landmark is part of the High Royal Solicitude that the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, devotes to religious affairs across the African continent. It also seeks to consolidate shared religious constants and to promote the values of moderation, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, while strengthening the historic spiritual, scholarly and fraternal ties that unite the Kingdom of Morocco and the sister Republic of Chad.
In addition to the prayer areas, which can accommodate more than three thousand worshippers, this major religious landmark, spanning an area of 33,000 square meters, includes an integrated cultural complex comprising a conference hall, a scholarly library, meeting rooms and administrative offices, making it a center of Moroccan religious and cultural outreach that contributes to training, guidance and the dissemination of the values of peace, tolerance and dialogue.
